The Lewis and Clark, Corps of Discovery, provided the first description of the "Great Falls of the Missouri" by white men. The site became the second largest city in Montana, Great Falls.  Located just west of the falls and upstream on the Missouri River, Great Falls, Montana is east of the Rocky Mountains and is at the western edge of the "Great Plains" of the United States.  Real Estate has been and continues to be one of the biggest industries in the Great Fall economy.
